About me

I am a warm, compassionate counsellor with experience of supporting adults who are struggling with a range of issues including anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, autism, addiction, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, perfectionism, procrastination, relationship struggles, co-dependency, people pleasing, and stressful work situation

Background

Before training as a counsellor, I worked for over 20 years as a veterinary surgeon and animal health researcher while raising my family.  The challenges I faced in balancing work and family life made more sense when, at the age of 50, I received a dyslexia diagnosis.  My lived experience has given me an insight into some of the difficulties that working women and neurodivergent clients face.
